"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." -Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV
Phillip Lindsay finished his University of Colorado career as the program’s all-time leader in all-purpose yards (5,926) and yards from scrimmage (4,849). In 2018, he was undrafted to the NFL and was signed by the Denver Broncos. He had a great rookie year with many accolades. Lindsey ranked first in franchise history and second all-time for an undrafted rookie with 1,037 rushing yards. In addition, he rushed for 9 touchdowns. He became the first undrafted player in NFL history to surpass 100 yards from scrimmage in each of his first two NFL games. He was also the first undrafted offensive rookie in NFL history to be selected to the Pro Bowl.
I’m sure that Phillip Lindsey’s dream was to play in the NFL. He could have easily given up after being overlooked in the draft, but he ended up making the Broncos team out of training camp. He could have thought that he was unqualified to be on an NFL team because he was undrafted and stood only 5’8” but he never gave up.
Don’t allow anyone to think any less of you because of your circumstances. You are not qualified by people, but you are qualified by God. If you have a desire, a dream, and a passion to do something, seek God about it in prayer, work hard, have faith and trust that He will make a way and open the door for you.
Only God, not people can qualify you.
